One Goal: Back to Eden, God’s Garden

When God created the world, there was peace. Everything had its place. Everything filled with life. All things worked together, and all things loved each other.

God, humans, animals, and plants were all like one body, and they weren’t divided. The world was filled with wealth because there was peace.

And then the humans ignored God, and split with God, and split amongst themselves. They split with the animals, and then they split with the plants.

There once was peace, but now there’s war. We once worked together, but now–competition. We had unthinkable wealth, and when we make peace with God, we will have it again. Our one goal is to get back to God’s Garden, God’s Kingdom, Eden.

Two Choices: Peace and War

There are two choices:

A path to God,
and a path to suffering.

That is to say:
A path of love,
and a path to war.

A path of unity,
and a path to death.

A path of prayer,
and a path to despair.

A path of patience,
and a path to ignorance

A path of bravery,
and a path to selfishness.

A path of growth,
and a path to Hell.

So let’s not go along the path of secularism, of hatred, of fracturing, of arrogance, of quitting, of cowardice, and decay.

Instead, let’s return to joy, to peace, to life, to hope, to wisdom, to generosity–Eden.

Three Parts: God, Children, and Work

When God created human beings, God breathed his own life into them. Giving them life, he blessed them. He blessed us by commanding us, “Be fruitful. Multiply. Fill the earth.” God gave us life, and told us to grow that life. We were given life, and so too we give life. Our greatest pleasure is to live and to give life.

There are three parts to growing life. All three parts make a whole. The grandest of these is being at peace with God. God’s life is the life of the world. There’s no life except that it’s God’s life. To be at war with God is to be at war with life. To reject God is to reject life.

Whoever rejects life,
of course, will be dying forever.

Love God, and do as he says. This is the grandest part of growing life. The most physical part of growing life is to have kids. Two lives came together and gave you life. To grow life, give life. Have three kids or more. The life of your parents is inside of you, so don’t kill them. Grow the life that you’ve been given.

The last part to growing life is being an expert at life. Teaching, giving, helping, working, growing. Doing the things that let life continue. Making a place for life, and fulfilling your place in life.

Four Methods: Togetherness, Praying, Fasting, and Giving

Here are the four methods of making peace with God:

Togetherness

So how can a body be alive when it’s parts are falling away from one another? The hand in one house, the foot in another, and the heart and brain in separate houses of their own. This is like the people who want God’s Kingdom, but aren’t gathered together. Live together, or die apart.

Praying

And how can a drop water survive in a desert when separated from the ocean? The ocean that gave it life. This is like someone who doesn’t pray to God. Praise God, and ask for his goodness. Talk to God, and then listen. God has given his reply.

Fasting

And how can a person survive when they are filled with poisons? Eating poison without stopping. This is like someone who feasts, but doesn’t fast. They get attached to something other than God. And God’s life is the life of the world, so their attachments become poison. Eat from God’s blessing, but also fast. God will give you even more blessings.

Giving

And how can a body be alive when a cancer eats all its food? The food that should have gone to the rest of the body. This is like the people gorge themselves, but leave the rest of God’s people to fend for themselves. The cancer will die, and the rest of the body too. So give. Give as much as you can. Give, and God will give to you.
