This isn’t a proof for God. Are people convinced except that they want to be? Rather, this is a vision of God. It’s something I’ve seen that I would like to share with others.
Some people hold a strange belief. They think that there are conscious things, and then non-conscious things. But why would we believe this? What evidence do we have for certain things not having consciousness? Do we experience non-conscious things? I’ve never experienced something not having consciousness. Maybe we don’t recognise their consciousness yet. This doesn’t mean that it’s not there.

On one end of the spectrum, there’s an extreme psychopath. He can’t recognise any consciousness except his own. He’s trapped. He’s stopped from sharing with others. He can’t see that he shares experience with others. If he grows a bit, he might recognise a small group of people or pets. He recognises his tribe as being similar to himself. They experience like he experiences. If he grows even more, he recognises people in general. They experience consciousness like he does. No matter how different they seem, they share that experience with him. They might be more emotional than him. They might like weird things. Things he doesn’t understand. But still, he recognises their consciousness.
He grows a bit more, and says, “You know, dogs and cats seem to have consciousness too. And cows, and horses, and bugs and birds. They’re all very different than me, but I recognise consciousness there. I don’t know what it’s like to be a bug, but I recognise something similar to myself in them.”

He thinks some more, and realises, “Plants do a lot of the things animals do. They’re very different, but I can recognise consciousness in them. In many ways, they act like humans. You know, I don’t know what it’s like to be a rock, but I bet this rock shares consciousness with me too. I’ve seen so many things that seem less and less similar to me, but they all seem to have consciousness. Why would I say that this rock doesn’t have consciousness? Because it’s very different from me? Everything else I’ve looked at seems to have consciousness.”

After recognising so many things, he begins to think of himself. The cells in his body. They seem to act a lot like humans too, “What reason do I have to say that these aren’t conscious? I recognise a lot of what people do in what they do. Even inside of me, there’s a whole little world. They’re talking, working, living, dying. And inside those cells, are tons of atoms. I wonder what it’s like to be an atom.”

After he thought about what was inside him, he pauses, and begins to think bigger, “You know, now that I think of it, I saw an interesting video once. It sped up time, and showed all the cars in a city. They looked a lot like how blood cells work inside of me. There’s cells inside of me, and I’m inside a city. I wonder what it’s like to be a city. And the cities talk, work, live, and die inside a country. And the country is on Earth. The Earth is a vibrant, living being. I wonder what it’s like to be the Earth. And the Earth is a cell in the solar system. And the solar system is in a galaxy. And above all that, above every single thing, there’s the consciousness that unites it all. I’ve recognised it. This is God. This is the master of all that exists. Everything else is just a cell, or a cell within a cell. But God is the consciousness above all consciousness. How can I but praise God with this human mouth?”

This is the other end of the spectrum. Do you recognise God? And if you can’t yet, then know that God certainly recognises you.
