God taught us to grow life. Babylon teaches people, “There’s too many people, and not enough resources. It’s better if we die off a bit.” God wants you to live, but Babylon wants you to die. You might realise that more people is good, but Babylon tells you that we can’t support any more people.
Babylon’s been saying this for a long time now. It said this decades ago when the population was half of what it is now. Babylon said this hundreds of years ago. The population was an eighth of what it is now. Babylon said this thousands of years ago. Back then, the population was dozens of times smaller than it is now. People have been saying this for a long time. They’ve always been raising the flag. “There’s too many people! There’s too many people!” Were they right thousands of years ago? Was God wrong to teach us to grow life? They said 200 million people is too many to support. The world has 8 billion people today.

If the world couldn’t support us, you’d expect us to die more quickly. A greater part of humanity would always be starving. Children would die from malnutrition. Two hundred years ago, the Earth was supporting a billion people. People lived about 30 years on average. These days, the Earth supports 8 billion. People live about 70 years on average. Is “too many people” really the problem? Far fewer people face starvation today than 200 years ago.
Babylon tells half truths. There are problems that affect how many people we can support. The problem isn’t the number of people itself. Say that you should lose some weight. You’ve been having health issues. Your friends tell you that you should exercise, but you tell them that you can’t. It’s not possible. You have bad knees. But you have bad knees for a reason. Every morning, you hit your knees. You tap them with a hammer, and it hurts. If you didn’t hit them, you’d be fine. But you keep on hitting them. Is it true that you can’t exercise? Or maybe you should just stop hitting your knees with a hammer?

Babylon tells half truths. It messes up God’s creation, and then tells you that it’s natural. Think of an island. A few thousand people live there. They all live happily, and they all have wealth. Then one person steals the wealth from the rest of them. He tells them that there’s not enough resources on the island. There’s only enough resources for him. Every time they bring food home, he takes it from them. They start starving, and have less energy to bring food in. The amount of food coming in goes down. They start to believe the thief. They believe that the island can’t support them all. What’s the problem here? The number of people on the island, or the thief?
This is a huge island. There are five villages threre. In one of them, there are farmers with good land. In another, they make fertilizers with their oil reserves. Another village makes tractors with the great amount of metal in their land. Another has home-builders, with green forests for wood. Another makes clothing. If they all worked together, their life would be good. The farmers would grow the food. The fertilizers would help the crops grow. The tractors would increase the amount of land that can be used. The home-builders would make sure they all have a place to sleep at the end of the day, and the cloth-makers would make clothes for everyone. In winter and in summer, everyone has clothes. Not only are all the villages supported, but they have a bunch of extra resources.
Now if they don’t work together, their lives become a lot worse. The farmers can’t grow enough food. The people who make fertilizers starve. The people who make tractors starve. The home-builders starve. The clothing-makers starve. All of them are homeless. All of them freeze in the cold without clothing. And then they complain about there not being enough resources. The land can only support much fewer people. Are there not enough resources? Or do they just need to work together?

With God’s blessings, people have made a lot of things. There was a time before modern fertilizers. There was also a time before tractors. A few decades ago certain seeds started being used. The amount of food that the same land could make went up a lot. In many cases, countries doubled their food production within a few years. All because someone spent time collecting seeds and studying them. People have always come up with solutions to bring humanity forward.

People have made solutions, and if God wills it, they will continue to make solutions. One example is aeroponic farming. This is where plants are placed on a small tower, and the roots are sprayed with a mist. Aeroponic farming uses less water than traditional farming. If done indoors, it works year round. The plants grow more quickly, and produce more for us to eat. Because of this, the same land can produce a lot more with aeroponic farming than with traditional farming. Not only that, you can farm in places where you couldn’t farm in the past. This is because aeroponic farming doesn’t need soil. The plants are suspended in air. Now, is aeroponic farming perfect and the solution to all our problems? No. So far, it’s only effective with certain plants. So far. People make solutions. If we live as God intended, there will be solutions.
The question is do you want to be a part of the solution? Or will you let Babylon convince you that life isn’t worth it?
